As we saw in the previous chapter, the red-green-blue chips of each of the eight LEDs are divided into five sets. Between two and four chips are connected in series and some of the resulting strings are connected in parallel.
It made sense to wire each LED with a six-conductor cable and feed the eight cables to the center of the fixture. There, a circuit board receives all 48 wires via terminal blocks. The traces of the board make the necessary connections with a matrix.
